Welcome
Custom Dies for Cutting Rubber Stamp Images
This product was initiated by Dies Direct at CHA Winter 2010.
Instead of telling stamp companies what shapes and sizes they can have
to design to, Dies Direct manufactures dies that follow the shape of each company’s
stamp image. The die design cuts as close as the customer wishes, to the image
that is stamped. We developed a unique alignment system that allows the most
inexperienced stamper to see professional results in seconds.
A method of alignment is one that we’ve recently developed, this method
offers a great accuracy. Our dies will be manufactured so that the target holes
will die cut paper as well. Users may make their own simple stencil with inexpensive
paper or even from junk mail that we receive often. Simply run the throw-away paper through your table top cutter to make a stencil. This becomes a visible placement tool that shows the crafter where the cut line is. Simply line up the stencil with the image and then mark the imaged paper with two dots that have also been cut out when the stencil was made. Remove the stencil and tape the die to the stamped image after aligning the dots with the round shapes of the target. We’ve found this method to be extremely accurate for close die cut alignment.
